Being reported as Onion-level satire, however (despite the click-bait headline), American Prospect has a solid history and track record.

President Musk must have great leverage over office assistant Trump to last this long.

Read the article, that title is shit and neither of those things happened. He just posted on twitter a lot.

The title means that Musk acted as if heā€™s the president and dictated to Republicans to not pass the legislation that needs to pass. It doesnā€™t mean he literally declared himself president. That would be stupid.

Iā€™ll be honest, I was not gonna be surprised if he had done that.

The article doesnā€™t show any evidence of Musk ā€˜declaring himself Presidentā€™, and he didnā€™t (and canā€™t) shut down the government either.

What the fuck is this headline?

He convinced Trump to stop it while also threatening GOP lawmakers with primary money if they supported the original bill.

Musk directly caused this more than any one other person.

Did Musk declare himself President? No. Did he shut down the government? No.

If I convinced my friend to ask that girl out heā€™s interested in, would it be accurate to say I asked her out? Also no.

My statement stands. The headline is bullshit, ragebait bullshit I might add.

If I convinced my friend to ask that girl out heā€™s interested in,

And paid her boyfriend to break up with her (Speaker Johnson and the first CR), and threatened the employment of any other guy in her class (threatened to fund primaries of opponents).

He did a lot more than just convince Trump. Turns out having more money than God is also a factor.
