So everyone is consumed by whether or not Biden is fit to run for president - and we have THIS shit going on…

They’re basically screaming “look at the distraction!” and, damn it, it’s working. 😔

If we were talking about what a pot of cracks the current Republican party is running, this election would be a landslide. Instead, we’re stuck debating if Biden will be an effective 85 year old commander in chief.

If Biden had gracefully bowed out two years ago, AS HIS 2020 CAMPAIGN HAD SIGNALED HE WOULD DO, this election would be so much easier and simpler. Kari Lake, post-Jan 6th convicted Trump, Mark Robinson. A whole bunch of loons.

Biden being unfit and the right being insane are not mutually exclusive. It’s akin to choosing the lesser of two evils, and recognizing that they’re both evil. Meanwhile people are going around online denying that the lesser of two “evils” is evil because it’s not the greater evil.

Now being old is somehow evil?

This is an analogy, indicated by the word “akin.”

Biden isn’t a good choice, but I would not say he is evil.

Trump is evil. He is a bigot, a rapist, a liar, a convicted felon, a thief, an insurrectionist, a fascist, a despot, a human trafficker, and a moron.

The problem is, he isn’t fit. He’s just less unfit. People are frustrated that instead of a normal, reasonable alternative, they have to pick the less ridiculous of two ridiculous options.

I think part of the problem is that democrats/liberals expect more from their candidates. Republicans just care about winning and destroying the other party.

I really hate how comments like this frame it. It’s a blatant strawman fallacy.

No shit we all know Trump is bad. Hello? He’s been saying this shit and doing TERRIBLE things for over 8 years now.

The PROBLEM is that for whatever reason, none of this shit is sticking, even when the media covers things like January 6th hearings, his criminal indictments, his impeachments, etc…

So while Biden’s numbers continue to decline and Trump widens his lead, are you REALLY going to sit there and say, “hey guys don’t worry, just one more scandal and this time we got him!”?

So naturally since the cult isn’t changing, we must change ourselves to improve our odds.

But Dems don’t want to change. They want a cult of their very own.

From now until forever all that the Dems need to say is, “we’re not THEM.”

The Dems don’t ever need to even pretend to stand for anything or to earnestly propose any positive future to their voters.

And this guy is a pastor. Not sure if he’s read the bible?

“Or those boys in blue and have them go handle it.”

So… in his view, one of the jobs of police is to go kill people who are ‘wicked’. Great. Sure would be nice if the GOP wasn’t completely fucking insane these days.

There’s this important guideline said to have been handed down from a supernatural entity , “Thou shalt not kill”. Of course, that’s not followed in the Bible either.

"Murder. The Fifth Commandment. But, if you give it a little thought, you realize that religion has never really had a problem with murder. Not really. More people have been killed in the name of God than for any other reason.

To cite a few examples, just think about Northern Ireland, the Middle East, the Crusades, the Inquisition, our own abortion-doctor killings and, yes, the World Trade Center to see how seriously religious people take Thou Shalt Not Kill. Apparently, to religious folks—especially the truly devout—murder is negotiable. It just depends on who’s doing the killing and who’s getting killed."

Yeah, and what should happen if “those boys in blue” are the ones doing evil things? Some other group should kill them? Seems like an endless cycle. How/why is this preacher considered a good guy?

In the section about his personal life, it says that he is sometimes invited to preach at churches. I think that’s about the extent of it.

“I’m talking to all of you, here!” continued God, His voice rising to a shout. “Do you hear Me? I don’t want you to kill anybody. I’m against it, across the board. How many times do I have to say it? Don’t kill each other anymore—ever! I’m fucking serious!”

Upon completing His outburst, God fell silent, standing quietly at the podium for several moments. Then, witnesses reported, God’s shoulders began to shake, and He wept.
