No, it’s true as-written too. Given that Kristi Noem shooting her dog is documented fact, whereas “immigrants are eating yer pets!!!111!” is entirely fictional bullshit pulled directly from some MAGA nutjob’s unwashed ass, 1 instance vs. 0 instances does indeed mean the former is (infinitely) more likely.

It’s just that a cop shooting your pet is even more likely (by several orders of magnitude) than a Republican governor doing it. But again, both are literally infinitely more likely than fictional lies that don’t happen.

In places where there is the consumption of animals that we consider pets, people don’t just like, steal someone’s cat or dog and eat the fucker. People love their pets and would get fucking mad if someone else killed it and ate it. I’m sure there might be rare exceptions where some shitty human goes and eats a pet, but there are crazy assholes everywhere (like the lady in Canton that everyone is claiming is Haitian). Places that eat animals farm those animals, whether it’s cows, chickens, or dogs.

You absolutely did not say that they eat pets there, just that they eat dog. I am positive you’re not insinuating anything bad, but I feel that it should be made abundantly clear for everyone else that nobody is eating pets anywhere.

God, this whole stupid thing pisses me off and has me making dumb comments. I should get off my damn phone.

you probably eat pigs, but I don’t think the local farmer has to worry about you stealing one.

I dunno, I imagine somewhere in the United Kingdom there’s someone eating someone’s pet, and we’re a nation with a rich history of immigration, so they could well be an immigrant or the child of an immigrant.

Whereas we don’t have many right-wing American government employees hanging about, you know?

After Project 2025, which surely would have a form of it exported in the UK too (or, more likely an innate one receiving additional attention due to its counterpart’s deployment “across the pond” as it were), there may be many many more of such.

Possibly on every street corner, maybe families could even help out, like if a child sees something that their parents do that is unpatriotic they could report it…

I must say this all seems a bit familiar somehow though? Oh well, surely ignoring our history won’t lead anything bad, ever.
