F*** this article. Don’t even read the article. The title says it all.

My summary: “Blame the victim. Blame the trans person for their family member acting a fool. It only got bad after the trans person came out. It’s all the trans person’s fault.”

To hell with that.

Many of us remember time before Google, too.

People love to say “nobody thought” or “nobody acted” when in reality they did, but the speaker ignored it and doesn’t want to feel responsible now.

Wow, the yoga example in the article is exactly why noncompetes are terrible. For those who didn’t read… A yoga studio owner didn’t like it when former employees opened up their own yoga studio nearby. So she added noncompete clauses to future contracts. In other words, she’s too inept to compete on delivering a quality product.

Good. We needed to hear this. How much can be done, we shall see, but a plan is a great starting point.

You have to stop thinking rationally and start assuming that Trump and his supporters are incredibly narcissistic. For him, this wasn’t an occasion where he almost got killed, but it was an occasion to show how amazing he is. The same is true for his supporters. The fact that he survived means he’s an even better candidate than he was before. Never mind the lack of gun control. Never mind that the attacker was a registered Republican. Narcissists are telling a story about how they want to see the world, not how it actually is.

So one of the questions is what voter turnout is going to be. In other words, how much this event boost Republican turnout at the polls? Clearly it’s not going to reduce turnout, because it’s too dramatic and it makes people pay attention to the fact that there’s an election coming up.

Of course we don’t know what will happen. It’s natural to expect that Trump’s pulling numbers will go up, but it’s also natural to think that it will only be a temporary increase. So the question is how much and for how long.

What a terrible article. The solution is throwing more subsidies? Of course it’s not! The solution is making it illegal to own more than a few properties. It really is that easy.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is getting called out on social media after she called out White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre a “DEI hire,” a term that many consider racist.

No, we don’t consider it racist. It is in fact racist, and in this case both racist and sexist. That is the entire point Boebert said it. Why else would she have used the term, indeed.

Yes, it did not occur to them. They simply don’t care. Facts and reason can’t matter to the misogynistic anti-trans crowd. Their whole approach is built on hate and bullshit, and they know it.

The ACAB people have never been opposed to laws or prosecution of criminals. The problem is that the cops and their powerful friends tend to be immune to those laws.

It’s certainly true that some laws and some sentencing ranges are unjust, but that’s different from saying that laws themselves ought not exist. And although we’ve seen several high profile cases recently where prosecutors are clearly dirty as hell, that’s probably less common than the dirtiness ratio among the pigs.
