Laws regulating TV shows? I just don’t see any need for it. We will all be fine without that media. Read a book or take a walk or browse free online media.

Of course simultaneous price increases suggest a possible antitrust issue, and that should be dealt with (but don’t cross your fingers) along with all the other antitrust issues in other areas.

Declining market share and dying are not at all the same thing. Remember that FOSS can survive without resources tha M$ and ABC have.

Anyway, what do you mean you’re conservative? I don’t understand at all. What values pushed you to what browsers? Laziness and defaults, maybe, but that’s a different position.

I think you aree using the word “consciousness” without having actually defined it, thus leading to an observation that sounds remarkable but might not be at all.

To be precise, I have no idea what you mean by lower levels of consciousness. Certainly there are systems that build upon each other, but where do you think consciousness resides other than where people ordinarily think it resides? And I mean this seriously. There might be some discussion about dreaming and subconsciousness, but at most that’s giving us three different types or levels of consciousness. What you wrote clearly describes more levels, and I just don’t know what they could be or where you think they are.

The latter point is not particularly surprising. Many people fight in wars because they have no choice or out of patriotism, or a combination of those plus other factors.

Another important point is that there are varying degrees of racism. Some people might have the badly mistaken view that a certain skin color is better or worse at certain jobs, for example, but that doesn’t mean that they would endorse genocide.

Mainly we’re talking about avoiding mass surveillance, not simply about privacy. There’s no technical or practical reason to allow mega-corporations to track our every online move.

It’s an interesting thing, because when you have multiple unions actively working to stop Elon musk from doing horrible things with his company, and all he can do is lash out at them, it shows he does not have the mental capacity to bargain which means his company is going to lose more money than they would have, had he used his brain.

Maybe you’re not doing the math on the age of the average Israeli person. There’s been more than enough time since the creation of that country for multiple generations to be born there. They don’t have some other country to go home to, because that is their home.

You fell into the trap that this post is exposing. Of course personal action matters, everyone knows it and there’s no chance we’ll forget it, but the heavy polluting companies want to focus our attention on that alone, to keep it off of themselves. Please don’t assist them in doing so.

It really isn’t though. This is a pretty weak stereotype. I have so many friends that are counter examples. Hey it’s okay to make a meme if you want to have fun but if that’s how you feel then your friend group is small.
