The Biden administration has said it will open additional facilities for migrants after images from a detention centre in Texas showed children huddled together in crowded makeshift rooms.

First sentence dude. These are over capacity facilities. Again, nothing compared to ripping families apart. Would you rather be in. Room with barriers to prevent COVID spread (this is 2021) or a fucking desert? Stop dodging the question by making up nonexistent other options

Trump ripped families apart. Biden put children in a temporary holding facility for a few hours. There is no comparison and now you’re just parroting far right nonsense. Showing your true colors rn

I feel like their paywall has gotten more strict recently. I used to almost never get them (edit: on my pc with an adblocker. I did get them on mobile but now I’m seeing them on my pc too)

Oh wow when you freeze people’s faces in the middle of videos, they sure look silly. Can’t vote for someone who checks notes was in a video

Fansly exists, there are others that’s I’ve seen referenced but it’s not something I’m super familiar with.

But that’s the thing, it’s not less. If a typical worker assembles 10 widgets an hour and the worker with a disability completes 3, they get paid 30%. Like I said, there’s an ethical question there about the value of labor and what work means, even what it means to be “typical,” since those workers have varying productivity. The original justification for 14b of the FLSA was the productivity thing. It just allows people who couldn’t typically hold jobs to get some sort of work. Many of the people in 14b settings could not hold a regular job. If 14b is banned, most employees will switch to other non-work activities, should the funding even exist for those.

Right, it just doesn’t get media coverage because we don’t sympathize in those cases. And it doesn’t fit into people’s mental concept of “mass shooting” as a result. Someone elsewhere in these comments already tried to say this doesn’t count as a mass shooting
