From a European perspective, USA only had a right and far right party. Anything on the left side was killed long time ago.

I love that in Cyberpunk 2077 they’re is often a channel on called “just ads”. Of course in pure cyberpunk style those ads can be horrific.

A number of places have a time limit. It’s all you can eat in 3 hours. There can be rules that you have to eat what you take, and when you take entire plates but barely touch them, the restaurant gets a bit annoyed.

He does the Nazi salute on the big stage and it shocked when he gets a collective middle finger salute back.

On the other hand, he went with Trump. Everybody going that way gets burned, used up, and thrown away. That things wouldn’t work out was expected. It’s also suspected that Musk would be used as the wrecking ball to crush institutions and when the inevitable problems arise, Musk would be blamed and tossed aside to keep the rest of the regime in the clear.

The rest of the world starts building a new world order and economic system, one that will be a lot less advantageous to the USA than the one they just trashed.

Assuming there is perfect information in the market. In reality there is heavy information asymmetry.

It also assumes free competition while we have every market dominated by a few players buying up everyone else, often with cartel like behavior.

The feeling is mutual. The majority of people in the EU are downgrading USA to “necessary partner” now and one fifth sees USA as an ally. Two thirds feels cooperation should be reduced.

And it will say people of lower economic classes and foreign origin are the biggest risk. Will action be taken to help these people? Nah. This is just going to be a technological excuse for some good ol’ repression.
