If they actually move all the settings over to the “new” settings app (it’s actually 12 years old now): good. It’s an absolute joke that there are multiple settings apps in windows, with design inconsistency across them, and it being a crapshoot whether the screen you look at will support dark mode or not.
If they don’t move all the settings over: bad. Yeah they’re usually niche, but some of those options are needed.
Since this is Microsoft we’re talking about, it’s probably going to be the latter, unfortunately.

In the interest of fairness, he did claim to have changed his mind on some of this, although that only happened 2 days after his job became on the line after making strange comments about Epstein.
For me, suddenly having a change of heart on a decades-held (and publicly-championed) opinion, only to suddenly change your mind the second it threatens your job seems a bit too convenient, so I’m unwilling to believe it.
You actually want extensions to be useless. What’s the point of them if they can hardly do anything?
You’re fundamentally not understanding how extensions work. They cannot be even nearly as useful as they are now if they have to go through a standardised API. No docks, no window management, etc.
He was a big defender of paedophilia, necrophilia, incest, and bestiality. He thinks people should have the right to fuck their pets or their children. Not to mention the reports on his creepy behaviour with women.
