President-elect Donald Trump on Friday confirmed that Republicans will work together to ditch Daylight Saving Time, the practice of changing the clocks by an hour twice a year.
Broken clock.
A broken clock can be right three times a day, if it breaks between 2AM and 3AM on the day of the DST changeâŚ
Or more often, if it runs backwards. Far less often if it runs fast or slow.
Except that the Dems tried to do this recently and the Republicans wouldnât come to the table, but as soon as they are in: âoh hey guys, check out our great policy you all loveâ.
Just saw this comment after posting saying it better than i: https://lemmy.world/comment/13969026
Finally something I can support
The Sunlight Protection Act has been put up several times and passed by the Senate as recently as 2022. It sits in a committee at this time. Iâm sure trump will take credit if it works its way through.
Well I hope it does make it through, despite bronzer boy taking credit for it.
Why hasnât it passed the house if Republicans supported it in the Senate? Strange
Not certain if itâs the same one, but a while ago such a bill was on the docket until they literally forgot about it. Like, they all supported it, but no one brought it up so they didnât vote on it.
Currently over 19,000 bills before Congress⌠Which ones get heard unfortunately is always manipulated.
Good.
The extra hour of sunshine cannot be good for global temperatures.
Iâm assuming youâre joking, but Iâm also assuming some morons actually believe this.
Every hour of sunlight brings 173,000 terrawatt hours of total solar irradiance. Even one hour is enough to make a big difference.
Just trying to distract the public from any number of his fucked up shit
