i was bored so i asked copilot to make a wrestling angle. i don’t hate them.

Absolutely! Here’s a fun and engaging wrestling angle featuring Andy Kaufman and Lulu Pencil in AEW 2024:

Title: “The Comedy Clash”

Setting: AEW Dynamite, November 2024

Segment 1: Kaufman’s Return The show kicks off with a surprise appearance by Andy Kaufman. He enters the ring, boasting about his legendary status and how he revolutionized wrestling with his comedic antics. Kaufman claims that no one in AEW can match his wit and charisma.

Segment 2: Lulu Pencil’s Challenge As Kaufman continues to brag, Lulu Pencil’s music hits. She walks out to the ring with her signature pencil and notepad, looking determined. Lulu grabs a mic and tells Kaufman that while he may be a legend, he hasn’t faced anyone like her. She challenges Kaufman to a match, promising to show him the true spirit of wrestling.

Segment 3: The Setup Tony Khan appears on the screen and announces that Kaufman and Lulu Pencil will face off in a special “Comedy Wrestling Match” at the next AEW pay-per-view, Full Gear. The match will have unique rules, allowing both competitors to use their comedic skills to outwit each other.

Main Event: Full Gear - Comedy Wrestling Match The match is filled with hilarious moments and clever spots. Kaufman tries to use his old tricks, but Lulu Pencil counters with her own brand of humor and resilience. The crowd is thoroughly entertained as the two engage in a battle of wits and wrestling.

Climax: The Surprise Just as Kaufman thinks he has the upper hand, Lulu pulls out a giant pencil from under the ring and uses it to trip Kaufman. She then rolls him up for a quick pin, securing the victory. The crowd erupts in cheers as Lulu Pencil celebrates her win.

Aftermath: The Respect After the match, Kaufman, initially furious, eventually smiles and extends his hand to Lulu. He acknowledges her talent and declares that she has earned his respect. The two shake hands, and Kaufman raises Lulu’s hand in victory, marking the beginning of an unlikely alliance.

Replace Kaufman with Johnny Knoxville and you’ve got something completely possible.

i don’t know whether or not to make this it’s whole thread or not but it’s got be thinking; with all the talk about rights deals expiring for nxt, smackdown, and raw on various streaming services can we talk about how bad it is that one company owns close to the entirety of pro wrestling history, at least in america.

not even about the current shows but the whole wealth of history from nwa and the territories now at the whim of media companies and wwe who will pull it for cost reasons but also issue takedown notices for those who put clips up on youtube. it’s sad how much we have lost from this when digitisation should have been great for wrestling nostalgia.

It could have been a whole thread, because I’m concerned once the Peacock deal ends, that the network idea is dead, that even more of the history is locked in some server in the WWE warehouse never to see the glow of a screen again.

This is why things like XWT are needed. If I had known one day I’d want those tapes back I’d never have gotten rid of them. We all may have to go back to tape trading, USB trading? some kind of trading if they put it all back in the vault.

We all set up Plex servers with whatever content we each have and share and make our own network lmao

Tell me about it (<sad Doctor Who noises>).

Worst is we’re also now well past the point where it’ll ever change for the better. At best we coulda maybe had Shane buy out Vince (and/or kill him lmao), take the company private and choose to do something altruistic with all their footage but now in a post-Vince WWE that shits going nowhere until the day TKO folds which is in our dreams.

the best thing you can do is utilize yt-dlp and archive your own when you can find it on youtube but even then. they don’t have everything. :/

Same thing applies to the whole entertainment industry. I was hoping the one up side in Disney and WD gobbling up other studios was going to be throwing everything they own on their respective streaming service. Instead they pull stuff to save a couple bucks on residuals and up their prices to butter up shareholders and make their CEOs feel like they have big peepees. I can’t wait until my kids are old enough to be trusted to pirate stuff without nuking the computer.

WWE Hall of Famer Pete Rose passes away at age 83

He doesn’t deserve a thread. Rest in piss.

At one point I thought it was stupid he wasn’t able to go in the HoF cause of gambling, in a world where MLB now advertises Draft Kings.

Then I learned like 12h ago that he’s also apparently a pedophile piece of shit so yeah fuck him lol.

He still has a lot of Stans to this day. But, yeah, Pete Rose is indeed a massive pos and I hope there’s a hell just so he can burn in it.

So we are watching old WW(F)E, and they have this generic ass masked wrestler named The Patriot. He’s in a feud with Bret Hart. I was quite surprised when I heard his music. Turns out, Kurt Angle’s music is reused

Brock Lesnars music is reused too. It was originally the XFL Chicago Enforcers music they used when the whole team would take to the field in home games.

Jerry Lawler is reused too. Originally it was Harley Race.

Oooh oooh, and CM Punk used to come out to “This Fire Burns”, but before that it was used one time, for one night, by Randy Orton. Orton didn’t feel it was a good fit though.

Orton was sick of his generic sounding song that just kept saying “HEY!”. Guess he was hearing those voices in his head…

And that’s how CM Punk got his first wwe theme.

HBK is known for his theme “sexy boy”, but it’s actually the second version of that song. The first version had Sherri Martell singing a shortened, but mostly the same version of the same lyrics.

I’ll probably post more of these as I remember them. I know hulk hogans real american is reused, but I can’t remember who originally had it.

And then the next week, with John Bobbitt.

Then you’ll look up who John Bobbitt was…and hooboy. It certainly is a thing that happened…
