Doesnā€™t seem like itā€™s advocating violence at all. Itā€™s making fun of someone that did advocate violence when it came after them.

I donā€™t think the meme itself was the issue, but the discussion therein. Speculating on the motive, I mentioned the oath military and feds are required to take, and that it advocates violenceā€¦ I probably shouldnā€™t elaborate or Iā€™ll risk a ban here tooā€¦

Right, itā€™s not a call to violence for the reader; it tells the reader that Trump was fishing for violent supporters. Itā€™s prime ā€œLeopards ate my faceā€ material.

Edit: This was supposed to be a reply to @BackOnMyBS@lemmy.autism.place

Yeah, the oath calls to defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. Not really your fault if someone claims that advocates for violence because itā€™s not you issuing a specific and legal order. Doesnā€™t say anything about protecting the government I suppose.

I was hoping that the admins on Lemmy arenā€™t the same type of shitheads like the bad ones from Reddit were, yet here we are.

World is the largest instance, so I understand them having an abundance of caution. Can always post on a smaller instance that doesnā€™t give a shit.

Itā€™s weird that those were the posts they took issue with. Iā€™ve been pretty vocal about not giving a damn about Nazi lives, former president Agent Orange includedā€¦ but discussing federal oaths and their implications is what crossed the line?

I can understand the admins being on high alert after an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate though, soā€¦ whatever, Iā€™ll just eat the ban and shitpost in other communities instead.
