Reddit didnt crush the protest, redditors and mods did. Mods acted like mods (their stereotypes mostly deserved) and users were so addicted to the site that they lost their shit that their favorite sub went dark for 2 days. The mods never had leverage and 99% of the users have no desire to lift a finger to meaningfully protest.

Reddit doesnt have any real competition (yet… hopefully lemmy does well) so they dont really care if what theyre doing pisses off users. The site is thoroughly in the enshittening phase of its life cycle and the apathy of its users ensure that reddit has no incentive to reverse this.

Directly they dont but it does take oil and gas to make the fertillizer that feeds the crops and pesticides that prevent pests from destroying entire harvests, diesel to run the farm equipment and transport the crops to market. Modern farming, even organic, is very much Carbon positive.

I was officially diagnosed with ADHD three years ago.

There is no one test to get diagnosed and you can’t self diagnose. Even your therapist can’t if they don’t have the training and experience to do so.

ADHD diagnosis involves interviews with people that knew you when you were a child, any mental health professionals youve worked with and a series of tests measuring intelligence, executive function, self questionaires and how you interact with the tests and the people testing you. i.e that indecisiveness would be taken into account in a professional screening. You aren’t really being tested for ADHD or autism so much as trying to rule out alternative explanations.

And its also why you shouln’t diagnose yourself with either of them despite what a lot of people think. Because sure it could be ADHD or autism but it could be a lot of other things that dont respond well to the same things that autism and ADHD do and you need people that actually know how to rule those things out or if it happens that you arent in the ADHD/autism tribes, figure out what tribe you actually belong to.

Cats have someone that will feed and house them, provide toys, scritches and pettings, catnip and medical care their entire lives for nothing. They dont have a job to worry about or bills to pay. They dont have to care about politics or how the world is on fire, they just hang out with other cats and people that spoil them their entire lives. We on the other hand, have bills to pay, a soul sucking job to go to 8+ hours a day, 50 weeks a year until were so old we cant do that anymore then we spend maybe a decade or two falling apart medically speaking until we stop forever.

Who is actually the dumb animal here? And before someone mentions their cat doing something dumb, I bet you know a person thats done something even stupider.
