Anyway Geordie here but raised a Fifer too. So naturally they are rolls. All other answers are wrong. Confused the hell out of my Mum when we first moved up, and resulted in many an accidently bought iced bun.

I’m in Edinburgh, and they are almost exclusively rolls, or morning rolls. Sometimes baps. Not sure that isn’t just for the giggles. Never buns. A bun is sweet. But since this is a country that calls sugary fizzy drinks in cans “juice”, I don’t think we can take the high ground here.

There was an interview with him in the Saturday Guardian recently which was basically along the lines of “I’m not an old cunt anymore”… Something about mellowing or it being an act or something… And then he proceeds to be an old cunt for the rest of the article.

I’ve read that article and I don’t see anything that could be considered hilarious. Imagine spending 3 or 4 years at University studying journalism or media studies to end up spending 5 minutes of a Saturday trawling the cesspit of xitter to cobble together 250 words of dross based on the ramblings of vacuous attention seekers.

As a parent myself now, I completely understand this behavior.
