What’s the point of even “modernising” task manager?

It’s funny, but memes like this affect the opinion of people who haven’t tried it.

They mistake some extreme minimal arch rice for the general Arch experience or the general Linux experience as well. If so many Lemmy users, who are statistically tech nerds, don’t see through the meme, then the average person will definitely stay away from Linux.

What’s even the point besides artificially upping the price and selling it as a “luxury product” that can barely function in an emergency?

I’ve only ever driven a manual, but having heard how good automatics have gotten, I think driving manual is pointless nowadays unless you’re doing it for fun. It definitely feels better when you’re going on a highway, but if you’re driving in the city it’s unbearable.

I don’t agree with people here not caring about this. Why should anyone earn below the poverty line?

If producing value is what gives you the right to live, then why do managers and manager’s managers get so highly paid? Does that also mean that artists shouldn’t get to live either unless they’re doing graphic art for a company?

There’s no such thing as ‘apolitical’. The very idea of leaving politics to our superior politicians is what brought us and keeps us in this state.

This is not at all a political issue however. This is about not being a trash human being. Being racist is not a political opinion, it’s spreading hatred in the world and being a waste of skin.

Governments need to strike hard against all kinds of platforms like this, even if they can be used for legitimate reasons.

AI is way too dangerous a tool to allow free innovation and market on, it’s the number one technology right now that must be heavily regulated.
