I don’t think it is outside the realm of possibility that corporate interests would find a way to get another prisoner/guard to kill him. I doubt it would even be that difficult for them. They have so much to offer to a group of people who have been deprived of most things. solidarity to a cause only goes so far when your life is just suffering.

They absolutely have a vested interest in demonstrating to the public that people who kill members of their class will face terrible repercussions.

It will certainly help defend them from the angry masses, but each time time they see all their defenses set out in front of them, they may still wonder if it is enough to survive. Everyone else feels the same thing when they look in their bank accounts.

evga GTX 770 It never died Replaced it with an evga GTX1080 it blew up 2 months out of warranty. they sent me rtx 2070 despite the warranty(MISS YOU EVGA). I gave that card to my wife and upgraded to a 3080 from aorus.
the card is great, but the software that comes with the card is beyond awful. I will probably get an Asus next time.

Trump watching TV at Mar Lago

I just warched Tim Walz presentation at this year’s ESRI user conference. To keep it brief he talked about using modern GIS software to solve today’s problems. He was absolutely fantastic.

I can’t believe Richard Simmons’ final act was to try and get trump once and for all.

I think the old man is the important piece of the picture. Our entire lives are spent climbing away from inescapable death. No matter what we do, a missed hand hold will eventually result in the fall into blackness. The old mans body is bound to fail him, and he will fall.

The thing I like most is the light that the subject of the painting is climbing towards. Sometimes, when I am in a situation where a negative outcome is unchangeable, I don’t want to deal with it at all. why play the game of life when we all lose, sort of thing. I think the light is what makes it worth traversing the perils of the pit. I think the light is the things that make life worth living.

But I’m just some dude, and that’s what I see. I think someone smarter will be able to tell me I’m wrong.

One of the benefits of the haskell style is easy commenting of the additional functions. I do something similar in my python scripts when testing several differnent chunks of code.

But then again I chose a career in GIS so I probably have a mental disorder.
