When I lived in South Carolina, I had a friend who needed quick cash, he had

: 4 handguns, : a long barrel rifle, : a cross bow, : a shotgun

He asked me if I knew anyone who may want to buy any of it, so I texted a coworker I thought might be interested.

He showed up with around $1500 in cash handed it to my friend, packed it all up in his car and drove away, they didn’t even learn each others names.

The sale was completely legal, and took about 15 minutes.

In many states there are effectively NO barriers to stop people from getting a gun legally.

I don’t understand how they can disclaim liability for generated libel.

If person A googles person B and receives libelous information, person b was not the one using the service / agreeing to terms / otherwise in a contract, the company can’t just opt you in to an agreement that you had no participation in.

It wouldn’t really help I think, I think what needs to be done is a change in the verbage and communication, nov 5th should be communicated as the deadline, and early voting should be renamed to just be the voting period.

In my state early voting starts on Oct 17th, meaning you have more than two week for in person voting.

Absentee ballots (mail in) can be cast as soon as you get it, which is typically almost 2 months in advance.

Besides, the people who would get ‘national vote day’ off as a holiday are the people who probably already have the means to get to a ballot box.

Governments are also hoovering up encrypted files and storing them for later so when the time comes, they can go and decrypt everything.

Gov seized your hard drive and you feel safe knowing it’s encrypted, better hope the forgot where they put it in 15 years.

To add, it is typically manifested as generic ‘compute’ or in the case of azure ‘functions’ where you environment the code is running on is abstracted away, instead you are just paying for compute, e.g. this function takes x time/cycles to run and so it costs y to run it each time.

In theory you don’t need to worry about scale or anything, just deploy your function, and pay for what it uses.

Maybe they try are trying to avoid some additional scrutiny by letting the union exist?

For “free” except you need thousands of dollars upfront for hardware and a full hardware/software stack you need to maintain.

This is like saying azure is cooked because you can rack mount your own PC

Good news is, you will never be able to stop hobbyist 3d printing.

Sorry patent trolls, you can’t make aluminum extrusion, stepper motors, an extruder, and a short circuit illegal.
