Print and written media existed for literally thousands of years
Uh, no? If by media you mean anything that could remotely considered for the masses then absolutely not. The printing press was so revolutionary because it allowed making multiple copies of written documents without doing them each manually. Reading and writing was so expensive and rare a hobby because the written word was expensive; why would you need to read more than the basic signs if chalk boards were your limit of writing?
“News” before then was word of mouth. Town criers and the like.
Yeah so THAT wouldn’t hold up to a SCOTUS hearing. Rather if it does we may as well ignore SCTOUS forevermore.
I saw someone leave their cart next to their car and get back in the car. So I grabbed it and put it in the corral a few spaces away. That person drove back through the parking lot to tell me to “mind my own business”. I still get a little schadenfreude about how upset they were over their own conscience and perceived social judgement.
So yeah. Housing the homeless is an effective solution. There are more empty homes than homeless in the US at least. And you can subsidize or build new places for this purpose, especially if they are transitory for the majority. And it’ll still be cheaper than dealing with all the knock-on effects of homelessness: litter, crime, health issues, etc.
$30/mo/user? Wtf? What are people even using Copilot for? Every single time I’ve tried an AI language model it gives me laughably wrong and bad answers. I would need it to be 99%+ accurate to bother trusting it; especially when just searching an answer and finding a decent source isn’t that lengthy.
Overdraft fees should just be illegal. Bank knows how much money is in there. Don’t allow withdraw if it’s insufficient.
I love this assertion by them. Because it’s them saying they are an independent nation. But they are living on or within the US’s declared borders and do not have a treaty as the American Indians do. Therefore they’d qualify as invaders or secessionist and the US military/immigration authorities should have jurisdiction to prosecute them. Afterall, this Sovereign Citizen is currently abroad in another country.
By and large, I think most of these people are just trying to get out of legal and financial obligations. I bet if a government agency sent them a check, they’d fucking cash it. But it’s when they’re required to pay money or complete the littlest forms that they balk. They are just bad scammers.
It’s been advertised forever. If there was a case, Nintendo lawsuit-happy lawyers would have taken them down by now. It was never a secret their design shared aesthetic with Pokemon.
