Honestly, fuck 'em.
Reddit deserves to crash and burn in my opinion. Every social media platform eventually runs it’s course and then is supplanted by something else. No idea if Lemmy is the platform that eventually rises from the ashes of Reddit, but everything from the way Reddit was run from a corporate level, down to the users was toxic as hell. It needs to go away.

I find it especially egregious the people who (rightfully) bash him, but continue to support his products such as Twitter and Tesla. Stop supporting him. Especially on Twitter. Advertisers have fled the platform. Some users have as well. If even 1/2 the people who claim to hate the guy just stopped using Twitter, the entire platform would collapse. Instead you people prop up that site by going to it.

Overzealous mods.

Endless OF spam.

Corporate shills.

Permanent bans. Except for egregious cases, ALL bans should be for a certain number of hours to cool the situation down, and then let it go.

Never ever buy an HP printer.

Their hardware is mostly brilliant but the software (drivers, DRM) should make it a stop-sale for most people. It is such a shame that what used to be an incredible engineering company has turned to such shit because of executive incompetence and greed.

There are a lot of negative things that I will say about Apple and iOS, but this would NEVER EVER fly on an iPhone. The fact that we just kind of accept it on Android is infuriating.

Self driving cars or honestly the majority of car tech introduced in the last 5 years or so, such a lane keeping assist or other drivers “aids” which ultimately seem to distract drivers more than ever help them.

I think this project is a terrible idea (no offense OP, since I can see this comes from a level of frustration). Simply burying your head in the sand does not make these people go away. It doesn’t stop their abuses of power. It doesn’t make them any less of a bunch of douchebags. We the public need to know what they do.

Guess what, if that was some pumped-up muscle-bound male model that was 3/4 naked walking down the runway, people would be saying similar things about him too.
