In the mid-70s, in middle school (8th grade), we were taught all about the holocaust-which I remember because of the pictures and movies. I don’t remember what we were taught about the war itself, I’m sure it was covered. I didn’t realize it then, but many of my teachers grew up during, or were adults during WWII, simply based on how old they were. My English teacher that year was 70+, and he told combat stories in class.

Yes, and that’s another reason the company is failing, and I won’t buy a car from them. But, that’s not the point here, the point is Musk’s stupid antics are having major consequences for him. The only value he’s had for the company for years is as a mascot. The company succeeded so far as it has in spite of Musk, not because of him. Same for SpaceX.

I’m not excusing the behavior, nor do I do this. I am saying it’s not nearly as ubiquitous as the author tries to make it seem. She’s biased because it happened to her, and of course she would be. But, don’t look at her claims as some sort of careful study.

It’s not all men, it’s not anywhere close to a majority. “There are forums with millions of members on mainstream sites…” still doesn’t constitute a huge percentage of men. And, I’m sure only a small percentage of those are sharing original pictures. She has way overstated the problem.

Nah. If they don’t laugh, you blame them. “No, the children are wrong.”

Penis > fish.

I agree, but I might be biased.

It was a huge chunk of thick glass. The flatter they made them, the thicker the glass had to be to withstand the vacuum.

I had a 30" one in my bedroom for years, long after I’d stopped using it, because I didn’t want to move it. Finally, about a year ago, I got it out onto the driveway for recycling to pick up. I figured if I waited too much longer, I’d be too old to lift it.
