Just the other day I came across some CDs that I used to back up some important data about 15 years ago (and which I thought I’d lost). They were absolutely pristine 👌

It’s so true about the world being bigger on a bike. You get to see and experience so much more. It’s partly the slower speed but also because you can stop so much more easily. A car gets you places fast but it’s also a burden and a liability. Also, while cycling you’re not inside a separate and discrete container, you’re actually in the world.

Writefreely is a fantastic option. Your posts and profile integrate perfectly with the Fediverse right out of the box, it’s nice to look at and really nice to use. It’s also FOSS. RSS is supported by default. If you want to tinker with it you can add custom CSS and it’s self-hostable. I host my own instance and it’s by far the simplest & easiest federated software I’ve run. An absolute peach - highly recommend!
