Short answer: it’s basic human nature if you don’t specifically work against it. Many people work against it, but not everyone. The ones that do not work against it mostly don’t because the environment they grew up in doesn’t do this, so they never started working against it. Later in life it’s difficult to change and admit you were wrong.

Sometimes this is what it requires. There are good people out there, I hope you make contact with more of those instead :)

Exactly. I was talking about just not having children if you know you can’t properly take care of them. Result is no responsibility/obligations. It must’ve been known beforehand that one is unreliable, and thus this needs to be taken into account for the decision to have kids.

Well I personally think your ban might be deserved. I don’t think anyone deserves to be punched in the face for what they believe. A punch in the face might only be deserved for something they do. Depends on the situation I guess.

You can’t shed all responsibilities or obligations, but most of them you can. In the end, it only depends on what your goals are. Do you want healthy, happy children? Then you’ll probably have to do something for that. If not though? Then you don’t. You can get by with a lot of “what if I just don’t?”

The good thing is that what is considered “being successful” is completely arbitrary and in the grand scheme of things completely irrelevant. You don’t need to “be successful” to lead a happy life. This “scraping by” you say is a pretty bleak picture is just so because you think it is, you can be absolutely happy living like that. I hope you’ll be able to be happy eventually <3

If you tell them you can’t do what they rely on you to do, then no, you haven’t fucked up, they have fucked up. They should not have relied on you. When you promise someone to do something and you don’t, yeah, then you fucked up, but if you don’t do that, then it’s 100% their fault.

This is too general of a question imo. The answer won’t be of much help.

But in general: getting rid of whatever causes the unwanted emotions, understanding that most causes aren’t actually a big deal, mindfulness meditation, slow conscious breathing, practicing to control/let go of emotions, accepting the emotions itself as not a problem aaand yeah that’s enough for now

Microplastics have also been found in our drinking water. So maybe stop drinking water altogether.

Godwin’s law itself always confused me. Of course comparisons with nazi Germany are overused, but it’s literally only 80 years ago. The fact that it could happen such a short time ago means that many of the same dangers, same lessons learned are very likely still completely applicable today. The human behaviors that led to Nazi Germany are still there, in/outgroup thinking, fear of foreigners/others, etc etc etc

So yeah I don’t think “Godwin’s law” existing as a concept should stop valid comparisons.
