You are right. Turning an adjective into a noun tends to make it more degrading because you’ve focused on the characteristic rather than the person. That’s why referring to people as “blacks” or “females” feels icky. It’s why we saw “deaf people” and not “the deafs” or “old people” and not “the olds.”
I’d assume it isn’t see through because you load it up with dirty dishes that sit for days before you run it. No one wants to spend days staring at the crusty spoon meemaw dipped in the peanut butter and licked like an ice cream cone before the wash is finally run

I wonder how that will impact those girls as they get older and start entering politics. Will it push them further left? Will they feel disparaged sooner and give up on politics sooner?
And same for the boys. By saying such dumb things so publicly at such a young age, will they face repercussions from their peers and get inoculated against manoshere-type-misogyny? Or will those beliefs become more ingrained in them and become a core piece of their identity?
