Sound like a critical race condition or bad memory access (this latter only in languages with pointers).

Since it’s HTTP(S) and judging by the average developer experience in the domain of multi-threading I’ve seen even for people doing stuff that naturally tends to involve multiple threads (such as networked access by multiple simultaneous clients), my bet is the former.

PS: Yeah, I know it’s a joke, but I made the serious point anyways because it might be useful for somebody.

Extreme behaviours such as exhibitionism and a very high concern with one’s public image are actually quite consistent with not growing up in a good and well-balanced environment.

Well balanced people aren’t overly concerned with being seen as stylish and heaving fun all the time, unless they’re in a profession that requires managing the image one projects to the outside world (influencer, performing artist).

It’s not just teenagers who like it.

It’s just that adults tend to refrain from actually doing it.

What! A! Surprise!

I’m shocked, I tell you, totally and utterly shocked by this turn of events!

Not wanting to do free work for a company (they don’t even give you a discount if you use self-service) is being a boomer?

That’s the first time I’ve seen the word “boomer” on the opposite side of the word “sucker”.

As a member of Generation X, I would say that it’s not going to be much better.

Just look at, say, Elon Musk as an example of the kind of people from my generation who get to positions of influence.

Most GenX are the product of the Neoliberal era, so have interiorized the whole “lookout for numero uno” idea of how to be in society and whilst commonly aware of things like Climate Change, they’re usually unwilling to inconvenience themselves for the sake of fighting against it, quite the contrary even (just look at how well SUVs sell), and similarly when it comes to Consumerism, they seem to be the most prone to wasteful consumption (the kind of people who replace their mobile phones every year or two).

In summary, Gen X generally are more well informed than Boomers but even less principled than them.

Hence why there’s “boiling” and there’s “evaporating” - two things that aren’t the same hence two different words.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

One should be even more skeptical and demanding of proof for wannabe trust-gatekeepers of the entire Internet, than one should already be for single newsmedia entities - the former place themselves as supervisors of trust in the latter and yet have even less proven trustworthiness than them.

So it’s curious that the !world@lemmy.world mods keep on pushing for people reading posts on that community to use this specific self-annointed trust gatekeeper who has repeatedly shown that they themselves are biased (quite a lot to the Right of the political spectrum and pro-Zionistl) as their trust-gatekeeper.

I keep downvoting it because such action reeks of manipulation and is exactly the kind of thing that State Actors and Political Actors would do to shape opinions in the this day and age when people can read articles from anywhere in the World.

You’re supposed to use baby talk with them from about 15 years old and until they’re 18, to really piss them off.

There are no penalties for filling a bogus DMCA takedown and the legal cost for restoring the content falls on the victim of such a takedown: the DMCA legislation was designed exactly for it to be used as Mazda and many other use it against individuals and small companies who can’t spend thousands of dollars fighting bogus takedowns.
