So ive said a lot of shit about America since their dive into insanity. But I’ve ran into relatively normal people that now view America as a pure enemy. Like really calm people that have told Americans to their face that if they step into canada, with the intention of invasion, they will be met with a bullet to the head. And more then a few that legitimately know how to cause mass destruction. I don’t think our neighbors to the south really understand just how fucked they made this relationship. I’m just understanding that my hot head position isn’t too far from the norm.

As an American, I feel pretty confident that for at least this round of 4-year political theater, Trump and is minority voting-base are not going to do any military actions towards Canada, although i expect that yes, our country’s most mentally challenged individuals are now hook-line-and-sinker onboard with thinking of your guys as the enemy and you should in fact blow them up if they think they have entitlement to play army-boi and cross north to do mischief.
What we have going on right now is someone who learned that human beings embrace and live in a state of cognitive dissonance and he learned people actually like it, people enjoy believing one thing while knowing another. This is why we have reality TV, social media and why we all had to argue with our friends for decades that no, the WWE isn’t a real sporting organization, as evident by the fact that they routinely use weapons and necromancy in the ring. Yup, I’ve talked to quite a few normies who are mostly on the gun control side of things who are now considering getting a PAL to go practice at the range so they “know how to handle a weapon in case the need ever arise”.
Suggest shotguns and rifles. Handguns are the thing you use while you get your real gun. Shotguns are for home defense. Rifles are for country defense. Take the firearms safety courses that are offered, and train with the thing. I sincerely hope you never have to use it, but my fellow countrymen are being idiots again. Yes, that’s what PALs get you. For handguns you needed an RPAL, but that is no longer possible. Mostly because the PLC couldn’t be arsed to blame the US for the illegal guns coming across the border.

I live in a border city, and everyone here is just waiting for the day that it happens. But we’re not okay with it and everyone I know has been making an effort to buy Canadian and show solidarity for one another. I’ve seen a few signs for our local Conservative MPP who is a nutjob though, likely seniors who don’t know any better. However, at least my formerly Trump-loving boss has finally shut up about how great he is now that his shit is directly affecting her. We now openly shit talk Trump in front of her and she just says nothing.
