My gf made me watch the Fall Guy, and to my surpise it was not about the video game and instead was about stuntmen. It was a very stupid (in the best way) rom com with tons of fantastic stunts. It was a bit masturbatory but it was very entertaining. It’s one of those movies you feel like everyone involved had a good time.

Has anyone else seen it and if so what are your troughts?

Rewatched it a few times. It’s a great movie, especially if you’re in to real stunts. Basically an homage to the stunt people of cinema. And the story is good too lol. Yeah I think you’re right when you say they had a good time making this.

No, this one https://m.imdb.com/title/tt29233308/ about 87North and making The Fall Guy, John Wick, etc. It’s worth watching.

This is a great show. It was too good for US TV so it died but it has one of the best early swipes at the Weinsteins who are parodied in the show.

You’re thinking of Free Guy with Ryan Renolds and not Gosling. I know this not because I made the same mistake or anything…

There’s a game called fall guys, this movie however seems loosely based on the TV show from the eighties

The Fall Guy was a solid 1980s show whose premise in hind sight was odd.

Watched this in theaters and now own the blu ray but was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed this movie. Stunts were great, acting was great and just goofy enough and poking fun at itself enough to be very entertaining.

Great movie, underrated for sure. Their maketing missed opportunities to showcase the point well.

The movie is all practical stunts, broke multiple world records for stunts, and was made to celebrate old school stunt work and filmmaking.

The plot is blatantly corny and cheesy, but in a way that I felt was way funnier than expected, it’s a great time!

There’s also a documentary about the stunts behind the scenes that was surprisingly fantastic. I think it was on Peacock? Worth checking out.

Corridor Crew has a great interview/BTS episode on this movie. It was the reason I went out to the theater and I’m glad I did!
