Found it, it’s NBC. But really google “luigi among us”: the news are seriously trying to drum up the DANGERS OF VIDEO GAME VIOLENCE again based on Luigi Mangione playing Among Us.
Anyone thinking about engaging in direct action of any kind should consider embracing the absurdity. Imagine how stupid it would make the police look to beat up on a bunch of protestors wearing puffy amogus suits. It’s more than a joke, it’s historically been effective in opposing authoritarianism.
“Journalists” like this should be held responsible for the BS they spew. If there are no consequences they’ll just continue…
They usually never lie. They frame things in incredibly misleading ways, leave out context, etc. but they technically just report facts. Its shitty, but from a legal standpoint there is no way to make this illegal without heavily restricting journalists ability to do anything.
Does no one at NBC realise how bad this makes them look? I don’t even game and even I know what Among Us is and how desperate this piece comes across.
God, imagine a world where Amung Us has even a slight chance of turning you into a class war assassin. Given how many people played that at it’s peak, we’d be seeing CEOs dropping like flies. There’d be a few dozen per day.
