teaboot posts:
Me: Yes sir I understand that the office door cannot be closed when two colleagues of opposite gender are alone together due to sexual misconduct concerns but as an openly bisexual employee I have to ask if leaving two colleagues of the same gender entirely unsupervised isn’t a double standard
Me: Like. I feel I should also have my ass covered if a same-gender colleague accuses me of shit, you know
Bossman: Nahhhhhhh it’s good
The morally grey cathedral goblin that lives on my shoulder and judges the value of my kneejerk impulses: If you grabbed his ass right now he would learn such an important lesson forever but we don’t roll like that bro
Me: (out loud) Okay

There’s one rule: ==please incorporate teh word rule in your post titles==
The “one” rule is you have to post before you leave. You absolutely don’t need to put rule in the title
On @196@lemmy.lalhaj.zone, I saw yesterday, the quote, “==please incorporate teh word rule in your post titles==”, and posted it above. Now I can’t find it, and must get back to work. Also this is not a pipe!
Mod here: Not a cause for removal and we have a lot of rules, actually. The incorporating rule into posts is more of a suggestion to keep the culture going.
https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/130970 "==please incorporate the word rule in your post titles== Here are the things that get you banned: -saying anything remotely iffy with a lemmygrad or hexbear account -tankie behaviour -nazi behaviour -authoritarian behaviour -genocide denial -prejudice of any kind -anything else that is clearly bad
Things that get your post/comment removed: -AI generated content -anything in the banlist -posts that are so off topic that they don’t fit on 196 at all -moldy memes (old memes, crusty memes, irrelevant memes. The type of things you’d see on your aunt’s Facebook page or Elon musk’s Twitter account with a laughing emoji as the caption) -corpoposting
Ban length varies, and is mostly based off of whether or not I think you will change your behavior. I have baned certain people for upwards of 2000 days.
---------EDIT:NSFW RULES--------- NSFW Content is now fully permitted BUT it must be tagged. Any NSFW content that has not been tagged and blurred will be removed. Content warnings should also be added to the title in brackets. Example: [penis] or: [explicit description of sex]. Non-sexualized breasts of any gender are not considered inappropriate and therefore do not need to be blurred/tagged. Yes, even female breasts.
IRL GORE IS NOT PERMITTED UNDER ANY CONDITION.
Please leave any suggested edits in the comments.
JAN 2024 UPDATE: MOLDY MONDAYS Monday is now moldy Monday. on this day and only this day moldy memes are not only allowed, but encouraged. The crustier the better. The type of thing that’s been reposted at least 2,000 times with filters and bad crops and watermarks and hopefully minions. please caption with moldy rule
If you have any issues, please reach us at 196mods@protonmail.com. PLEASE do not dm me, as I am not consistently available and tend to step away from the mantle for weeks to months at a time."
What do you do about nonbinary employees? Like, if drag is a dragon rider, is drag not allowed to be left alone with a dragon? Or not allowed to be left alone with anyone but a dragon rider?
I mean, if you constantly refer to yourself in the third person, you’re going to be unemployed, so it’s not something drag should concern dragself with, is it?
That guy is dickhead but ‘dragself’ goes hard, you should add it to your vocab lmao
Oh look, someone is doing something eccentric online that doesn’t actually harm anyone!
Better extrapolate that to their real life, make assumptions about that life and leverage that to make fun of them. Gotta make sure people conform to my expectations of behaviour online, right?
maybe i’m old, but i have no idea what a dragon rider is. am i boomer now?
bold of you to assume he would learn any sort of lesson as opposed to firing you and immediately forgetting it happened
What’s a morally grey cathedral goblin?
A stone grotesque, a common part of gothic architecture.
If it had an open channel for running water away from the building, it would be a gargoyle.
But we dont roll like that, today.
