I think that’s the point. He never cared. He never worked for this and never wanted it. He has been made into an icon by others and has become aware that his actions are not attached to consequences. Imagine you were playing fortnite but your character was invincible. You’d just be running up to people and doing obnoxious dance moves after awhile. That’s what has happened here.

When I look at the “pro Trump side” I see made up nonsense and impossible conspiracy theories. When I look at the anti Trump side I see videos of Trump talking.

At least Bush could think to the end of his sentence, even if it takes half the sentence to get there. Trump has to say it out loud before he can think about it.
To give Bush his credit, he said that “won’t be fooled again” line because he realized he was about to say “shame on me,” and that would have been used against him for the rest of his presidency.

But having abandoned, or never having had, basic critical thinking and reasoning skills, they’d just blame all the out groups they despise for the consequences of their own votes.
