friendly reminder… for those who don’t mind a little tin foil.

We’re not talking about the SCOTUS leak that happened earlier today.

The guy seems to be a whacko. He was arrested for illegally having a machine gun 20 years ago. He has donated to both political parties. He also donated to Tulsi Gabbard.

I somehow got on the Trump campaign’s email list and periodically get garbage from them. I received the following email less than 4 hours after it happened.

ALERT FROM TRUMP My resolve is only stronger after another attempt on my life! I will never slow down. I will never give up. I WILL NEVER SURRENDER! I thank God every day for having supporters like you on my side. On November 5th, WE WILL MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! MAGA

– followed by suggested donation amounts ranging from $24 to $3300. The grift never ends.

Dude, you already surrendered. That’s why we have your mug shot.

I don’t think that that’s grifting.

Like, there’s no fraud or misleading material here. Trump’s campaign is (presumably) providing exactly what one would expect for the donation: trying to improve Trump’s chances at the White House. They’re maybe taking every chance to push for money, but constantly trying to sell stuff alone isn’t grifting.

If it were trying to get people to invest in Trump Media & Technology Group or something, where I think that a lot of small investors have a rather-confused take on the company’s prospects, then I’d be more-inclined to agree.

If you look up the guy’s (now deleted) twitter, the guy was a pro-NATO nutcase who I guess earnestly believed Trump would disband NATO.

I’m not calling all people who are pro-NATO nutcases, I mean the dude was mentally ill and extremely pro NATO, claimed he had thousands of “NATO-trained Afghan troops” ready to defend Taiwan, claimed he was going to go fight in Ukraine, tried to buy a rocket from Elon Musk to assassinate Putin, etc.

Here’s his extremely hinged website: https://taiwanforeignlegion.com/

earnestly believed Trump would disband NATO.

TBF the orange turd has been very vocal about leaving NATO, which has been tied specifically to allowing Russia to invade Ukraine

He also claimed the purpose of the threat was to strengthen NATO by getting more countries to increase their military budgets. Trump isn’t anti-imperialist.

I’m pro-NATO and also concerned that Trump will disband NATO, and even I think that guy is a complete nutcase.

If I actually believed he would disband NATO and dismantle the American empire, for the sake of most of humanity, I’d have to vote for him.

The only reason he is threatening NATO is because he feels it’s not doing enough imperialism.

I didn’t believe him in 2016, and the fact that he didn’t do it makes him even less credible than he was back then.
