What are people’s recommendation for their favourite FPS single player campaigns that you still enjoy playing a couple of levels once in awhile? No multiplayer suggestions.

My all time one is Medal Of Honor 2010 reboot. I don’t play through it every time but I have a couple of favourite levels.

Titanfall 2. That’s an annual tradition for me.

I have it, I have not played it through, only played half an hour to an hour, but I will trust you and play it through soon to give it a proper try.

Rest assured that you were nearly done.

I’m kidding, but it do believe it’s only 6 hours or something. Still amazing.

I second Titanfall 2. The campaign is the closest thing to a perfect game I’ve ever played.

The only way I can describe the Titanfall 2 campaign is it’s the giant robot game you always wanted subconsciously. It’s just great, perfect length.

I love how the game is short, honestly. Like there isn’t one part of it that’s dull.

Didn’t waste any time. Most games have fluff galore these days. A distilled experience stands out that much more.

Half-Life 😁

I see people rave about it. I tried Half Life 2 for an hour and quit because I lost all interest since there wasn’t much happening.

You should start with Half- Life. It’s a classic FPS.

I don’t like random creatures or space aliens, fantasy, Martians, I don’t like those games. I prefer real world military style. What makes Half Life so good?

ArmA 3 for the heart-pumping rip and tear action power fantasy.

DOOM 2016 for the immersive realism and measured tactical complexity.

The Bungie era of Halo (Combat Evolved through Reach). You can never go wrong with those games, and the soundtrack alone will get you pumped to play through humanity’s last stand.

All of them are great but I really have to call out Halo: Reach as being an absolute narrative masterpiece.

Can’t decide.

“Wolfenstein: The New Order” for the setting and production value.

“Prey” (2017) for the fantastic gameplay and atmosphere.

“Turbo Overkill” for the movement and variety.

Thank you providing reasons for why it’s your favourite game.

I bought the New Order/Old Blood combo on GOG.

Prey looks really nice. Don’t you primarily play through the game with a sword, having a lot of required stealth kills?

Is Turbo Overkill an arena game in a single environment, as opposed to progressing through multiple levels, say, in like a military campaign?

You should really give the Wolfenstein games a try if you already own them. After about an hour or two you will know if the game is for you. Start with New Order.

There is no melee weapon in Prey, except the wrench you start with. It is a Sci-Fi game, set on a space station. The focus is on finding your own solutions to problems by using different skills you unlock. Strength, hacking, stealth and so on. It is an immersive sim, but you can play it like a shooter too. It demands some attention though, or you will not know what to do next.

Turbo Overkill has multiple levels you complete one after another. It is a classic FPS game with a campaign. The big fights happen in large arenas though. The game is very fast and you have to use a lot of different movement abilities to survive on harder difficulties.
