Well that router dying late this morning was an unwelcome $80 expense I didn’t need this month -_-
Just a fun fact someone noticed that I wanted to share.
Months ago (and by that I guess I mean 13 of em lol) EC3 opened his own post-CYN promotion, Exodus Pro Wrestling (https://www.exoprowrestling.com/). Over the last 13 months its become an NWA territory, going under the name NWA Exodus Pro Midwest.
The listed owner is literally Dixie Carter lmao
Why is it an announcers desk when they are sitting at it, but an announcers table when they go through it?
*Khan was asked about the current status of the company’s media rights. He said it’s a real exciting time and they are having great conversations. Some reports have been accurate about the status of the deal between WBD-AEW being productive and they are still in discussions. He said he feels fortunate that TBS and TNTs still have a great appetite towards keeping AEW. He said they are the best media partner you can have. TBS and TNT give immediate credibility. There’s a history that goes back to the early 1970s. They are still in the process - a long, tedious process - of an agreement. To do an agreement for all the events and things they are working on is a really big deal. There are some great things to come and there’s excitement on each side and jt’s great to have that sort of mutual collaboration. There’s been a lot of really good conversations about streaming. Obviously, they own and operate MAX. He said “this is going to work out really well for AEW and their fans.”
From PWInsider’s coverage of the ALL OUT Media call. Clearly seems to be teasing putting stuff on MAX, but I bet it’s going to be on MAX’s more costly sports tier that’s supposed to be coming. I really hate this all in one basket strategy though, WBD is in deep trouble financially, if I were guessing which “Legacy Media” company would go out of business first, I’m looking at them. Also I am still slightly concerned over this extended negotiation term, it’s just so weird when every other sport negotiates a year ahead of time, even WWE had deals in place at the start of this year.
Yeah I don’t wanna say things are ‘fishy’ but the way it’s been going down is definitely abnormal.
But has WBD been goddamned anything but abnormal these last few years? Shit. WBD surviving this late into 2024 I think is only due to how deep their pockets were to begin with, otherwise with how whatshistits has cannibalized them I’d have expected em to have bled out already.
Alls I’m saying is this weeks meme monday is gonna be fucking fire 👀
