Welcome on in creatures, people, folks, plural groups etc to a little nice place for discussion and education around kink.

We opened this community because we feel that such discussions are lacking in safety and are at the same time too shame-y or set up too many rules for kink which are not necessary in every situation e.g. “You must feel this or else it’s wrong” or “You must do it this way or else it’s wrong” i.e. ideas which are seen as objective that are not.

So we wanted to provide an open space to provide education around consent and look at how real folks do kink in a variety of ways to better understand and be understood.

We hope you enjoy your time here!

A place for education and discussion around kink.

This is a queer and trans-first space.

This is not a place to do, display or find partners for kink.

Examples for educational etc purposes are okay for now, we may change that or open other communities in the future.

Beliefs of the creators of this group and thus the group itself:

  • Kink is not inherently sexual

  • Consent is required for all kink and things should be discussed as much as is necessary without complaints from any involved party, in the sense of “can we start already?” or “your boundaries are too much.” etc.

  • Safe words, phrases, signs, signals etc are important

  • Consent can and should be able to be revoked at any time, documents etc do not override this and in our opinion are a bad idea, if they explicitly state or imply that they do.

  • Kink based around societal oppressive power-dynamics are harmful things such as misogyny, race-play, ableism, fetishisation of trans or queer folks and other bigotries etc, and as such are unwelcome here.

Rules:

  • No racism
  • No queer{phobia/misia}, trans{phobia/misia}
  • No misogyny
  • No ableism
  • No erasure of any identity
  • No exclusion of any based purely on identity
  • No fetishisation of groups of people e.g. no chasers etc.

Watch this space for changes as this community hopefully grows and/or we learn new things/can express ourselves better or are shown to be incorrect or wrong etc.
