At least she gave things a try, unlike most people

Raise your hands if you’ve been in the Olympics…

Me and my mates so stupid stuff all the time just to mess around… It’s better to try something and fail then not try at all. And she’ll have a great pub story

And when you’re messing around, are you representing your entire nation live? She arguably hurt the sport by delegitimizing it on its debut

Hell nah. Give it a go.

I started a Meetup group a few years ago as a hobby despite no formal training. My group has now outlived many others and I’m surprised by how many people I meet on hikes who have heard of my group and actually listen to my advice these days.

Don’t forget about the guy either who ran an ultra marathon with no real training here in Australia and ended up winning . Turned out his goofy style of running was actually more efficient than normal jogging.

I know someone who is the world record holder for highest gym class She absolutely deserved it. She’s not nims, but she gave it a shot

I know a lady with Parkinson’s who is a cross fit champ. People like you would tell her she should give up

As long as you’re safe and not a danger to others, definitely give things a shot.

I read somewhere she and her husband were in charge of the judges for Australia. So it is sounding like it wasn’t totally above board how she got to the Olympics.

Take that with a grain of salt

Why? The ones winning the contests haven’t been on a-social media that often. So she’s most famous for her style. Chapeau!

Of all the people who took part in the breakdancing, I only remember one name… RAYGUN, pew pew.

I remember Phil Wizard, who won gold in the men’s competition. And Danny Dan who won silver, Victor who won bronze, and Shigekix who lost the bronze match.

I can’t seem to find the men’s finals on YouTube but if you can find it I highly recommend it. It was awesome. I really hope Breaking returns in 2032, the level of sportsmanship and joy the competitors showed was amazing.

Don’t recognise any of them. If they wanted some valuable mind share they should have tried harder to stand out.

And certainly your mind share is the most valuable!

Did you even think about this argument?

By this argument I could join a tennis tournament and take a shit on the court and punch the judge and you’d think that makes me a star player because people that don’t follow tennis heard of me.

Why do you feel like your opinion is worth sharing when it wouldn’t have even left your brain if you gave it any thought?

People are too forthcoming with their opinions.

I never though I’d see a GPK in a certified case…

I stuck hundreds of them over everything I owned when they were the style of the day.

Australian person who basically got the gov to pay for her trip to Paris under the guise of participating in the breakdancing portion of the Olympics. She studies culture or something so some ppl think she was making a statement by being terrible

Not entirely. She did qualify to represent Australia in Bbeaking, not just some rando australian and she does study culture, the cultural politics of breakdancing.
