I can’t draw, but decided to give it a go anyway.

For the first comic in my life, I think it went pretty well.

Whenever I run into a spider web, I like to immediately imagine that I just won a race I didn’t know I was in. It makes me smile and feel less like I want to jump into a fire.

We had a spider once that, after someone walked through the web one day, started taking its web down every morning and rebuilding it in the evening.

Edit: I think it was one of these:

I am a weird boy. I like letting bugs crawl on me and run from hand to hand.

With the notable exception of the times when those spiders decide that now, after they’ve been picked up, would be a good time to start spinning a web.

I wonder if spiders put webs in front of windows to catch bugs that fly towards the light, or if they put webs all over a building and we only see the ones near the windows?

Cute comic!

I’m petty sure, they place webs wherever people walk.

Cute comic!

Thanks, glad you liked it.

True that! Almost got a face full of this guy earlier this week:

That’s a female Argiope aurantia. Found from Colombia to Canada. Fairly chill, they only bite big animals when hurt, and even then the bite is less concerning than a bee sting. If you’re lucky you might even see a brown egg sac nearby.

Just don’t grow attached to her to the point that you give her a name, those spiders are short-lived. RIP my pet Argiope argentata Kumoko (;_;)7

Beautiful picture by the way

Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.

The rules are simple:

  • The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author’s website, for instance).
  • The comic must be a complete story.
  • If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
  • You may post comics from others or your own.
  • If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
  • The comic can be in any language, but if it’s not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post’s ‘body’ field (note: you don’t need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
  • Politeness.
  • Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.
