Tbh, I don’t see how gender identity can be benign in a world where we still see so much discrimination and hatred against such ideas, but I am glad it was in this persons household. Though even then, I am not sure if it’s truly ever “benign”, it’s part of one’s self actualization and therefore meaningful and impactful for the person experiencing it
These stories make me incredibly jealous lol. I love my mom for doing her best to understand me and accepting me as I am but it took months for her to process me being bi .(I live in a Third world country) I feel like we are a solid few decades behind whatever point these people are in.
Well, young children discriminate against “weirdos”, like anyone autistic etc
My kids noticed physical extremes before anything. Of course they would have to point it out to me as loud as possible.
We were in the grocery store, and my three year old says, as loud as he can, “DAD! Look at that huge guy! He must eat A LOT of FOOD!”
Damnit, kid…
I mean, he must have connected getting fat from eating lots of food from somewhere, right?
Random thought, parent titles are gendered so what do enby parents go by?
“Parent” works in formal settings, but it would be weird to have your kid call you that. Maybe just your name?
Why go with “parent” when the combination of “Mom” and “dad” gives you “mod”, “mad”, “dam” and “dom”?
I don’t think a kid calling their parent their “dom” would go over well 💀💀💀
“back to watching my game?!” Damn kids these days can’t even be bothered to play their own games! SMH
as benign as popcorn stuck in your teeth
That is not benign!
