Discord has been a POS for years.

It’s really funny watching them add paid features that older, established messengers have for free

Genuinely just thinking of getting my tech illiterate friends onto matrix finally. Fucking discord’s been keeling and enshittifying (natural course for software like it ofc) but don’t think i can deal with their shit anymore. Shitty store shoved down your throat, bad performance/privacy, paid stuff like custom emojis, going public…

Yeah fuck this, i should’ve jumped ship years ago.

And so continues the enshittification.

I jumped ship like five years ago. Their intentions have been clear for some time.

Was it the introduction of Nitro?

Teamspeak or mumble comeback???

(I know it won’t)

It sadly can’t replace all the other things Discord does, but if all you want is low-latency VOIP with good sound quality - Mumble’s your man.

Put up a wiki, it’s all you really need for everything else

I think vent was the last of these I used before discord took off.

These days I just don’t voice.

Been using TS as a backup for years, can’t complain.

Isn’t Teamspeak coming back?

For some people TeamSpeak didn’t go anywhere. I’ve been using TeamSpeak for the past 5 years as I started communicating with people who never gave it up.

There’s always Revolt!

I tried signing up yesterday but kept getting a registration error, im guessing I wasn’t the only one with that idea, and their servers got strained
