Microsoft business was never meant to convince: it’s either forcing their way in by bully OEMs in doing what they want, and make sure Linux isn’t an option, like in the ACPI case, or buy successful companies that elude their direct control (or simply buy companies that already won the battle they are fighting, like their desperate attempt to make a success “Microsoft Game Studio” and instead resort to buy Bethesda, Activision etc.)

If you ever played Pen&Paper Battleship as child, you already know what a Vector2 is (Vector2i more precisely), it just didn’t click yet.

…as you can see, if you buy from dev’s website you get to buy the advertised Linux’s version. A Dev that publish exclusively on Epic store is de facto forced to trash away any additional Linux support they may have put into.

Basically, if a Dev support Linux, the time they go exclusively on Epic became essentially windows-only.

You can buy from website and Tim Sweeny don’t get a single ¢. If giving money to Valve is your other issue, you can also try ask for Gaben’s bank account and put there an additional fee as cutshare for your purchase.

You get to see companies taking the hit only when they shut down. Before than that, you get only to see human people lose their livelihood

Gotta lift a different issue here.

There are other Olympics event that can be directly traced as product placement?

Because, let’s assume that the esport picked is Fortnite… wouldn’t be the whole event a big ads for Epic (I am sure they would also put big money to lobby hard in this)?

Olympics are expected to promote products with ads, billboards and whatever… but the event itself?
