Democrats absolutely do care what their base wants, unlike the Republicans, but yes this sort of talk and action are why the DNC lost. Being the lesser evil very unfortunately wasn’t enough.
I think I’m their base. I don’t want genocide. I do want everyone to be happy and healthy and educated with healthcare and clean air. People should be able to afford things without working themselves to death.

Then maybe you should read the vote counts on most of the important legislation passed in the last 3 decades? Because I assure you that you absolutely are represented.
The worst score the DNC would have with your list would be handling Israel and Gaza but our guy was swearing at Netanyahu over the phone, building a pier to distribute aid, and withholding weapons shipments. The new guy, who replaced our guy, has bragged about fulfilling the delayed shipments, is backing a full and complete ethnic cleansing of Gaza.
So, I mean, hands down no competition. Remove Republicans at all costs. ALL COSTS.
It doesn’t help that Schumer’s term goes on until 2029 so the only way to primary him is to issue a recall. It’s going to be a rough decade.
