There’s an MD whose stuff I read sometimes, who says he is seeing a way unexpected number of heart problems in younger people since the pandemic started, because of heart damage done by the virus.

But the article says young people heart failures are rising because of being overworked and using drugs to keep up. Sure COVID did damage but mostly the system has failed them.

I have read that working over 55 hours a week significantly increases heart attack risk.

A study conducted by the World Health Organization concluded that working 55 or more hours per week is associated with an estimated 35% higher risk of a stroke and a 17% higher risk of dying from ischemic heart disease compared to working 35-40 hours per week.

In rural America, it’s much harder to get fresh produce, but there’s usually a Dollar General not too far away full of processed food. I’m sure that also doesn’t help.

Interesting how the farms are out there in rural America, but healthy organic food isn’t!
