Salvation Army is a wingnut religious organization that really wishes it were a cult, masquerading badly as a charity.

I feel like “wearing military outfits during church services and calling their ministers by military ranks” and “discouraging members from marrying people who aren’t also in the Salvation Army” both push it really close to cult territory.
