Edit: this is about apolistic succession
I still think It’s weird how christians worship a Jew.
I came here to say basically the same thing.
Have people forgotten, that Jesus is considered the King of the Jews? 🤔
A rando born in a barn and who was wanted dead by his people is the king of them?
Says who.

I’m not religious BTW.
He’s not. He’s a Roman, his father’s a centurion in the Jerusalem garrison, and his name is Naughtius Maximus.
He ain’t our king. Homeboy did not meet all of the criteria for him to be the Jewish Messiah, his followers conveniently ignored that.

Disclaimer: I am absolutely not any sort of religious expert.
He was not considered the king of Jews by the Jews though (except mockingly). I should think they would have a say in the matter.
It really just boils down to people arguing over which is better Judaism or Judaism Special Edition.
Real Christians understand there is no 1 true religion. Jesus said follow him, not xyz church.
Charitable works, a life of pacifism, poverty and asceticism spent caring for the needy and an on going good-faith attempt to make good on mistakes that deviate from that.
