They think this guys plan is happening. If you dig deeper into his ideology, you’ll see part of the plan is a bunch of city-states run by corporations.

Nadella just wants a city-state all to himself.

Edit: Theres even a couple behind the bastards episodes on this guy. The VP is a follower of this idealogy. I’m honestly confused as to why hardly anyone is talking about this yet.
