Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz mocked Donald Trump Thursday for his clumsy garbage truck gimmick.

“This dude’s nearly 80-years-old,” Walz said at a campaign event in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. “He damn near killed himself getting into a garbage truck.”

The crowd laughed at the Democrat’s reference to a Wednesday incident involving the Trump campaign’s attempt at retribution over President Joe Biden’s garbage gaffe that inflamed MAGA supporters. The GOP nominee donned an orange safety vest and planned a ride in a Trump-branded garbage truck.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. How squeaky clean must the guy be if the worst thing you can say about him is “oMg hE’S tOo oLD to PLay vIDEo gAMeS!!1”

Absolutely solid VP pick

Plenty of 60-year-olds play games. They were in their 20’s and 30’s as gaming matured. The N64 and PS1 target audience was people who are now in their 50’s and 60’s.

Well, some of us were already into the PC master race direction and didn’t fall for the consoles. :D

I thought Tim Walz’s stream was fun. But I would, being 56 and OLD.

My neighbor was in his 40s and taught me how to play DOOM back in the 90s. If he hadn’t died of lung cancer he’d be in his 70s now. Like, one of my family’s best memories is playing Rock Band one Christmas, three generations of us all hanging out and taking turns. Games are for everyone.

My dude…video games have existed for half a century now… he was probably playing plenty of Atari in his youth. OMG do you actually think kids and teens are the only ones playing them in 2024? Have you been living under a rock since the 90s?

there are people that have never played video games in their lives. The ones I met also don’t see how watching netflix all day or just being glued to the phone are exactly the same when you simplify it. Bright panel of pixels that trick you into feeling emotions. Method of entertainment alone or with friends.

Have you been living under a rock since the 90s?

Is it still the 90’s under this rock? Can i move there? I miss Saturday morning cartoons and walking straight onto an airplane.

That’s the best you got? The other VP candidate wants women to be slaves to their rape babies, but Walz is “too old” for video games?

You’re a fucking farce.

Oh, my mistake.

That’s the best you got? The other VP candidate wants women to be slaves to their rape babies, but Walz is “too old” for video games giving off “how do you do fellow kids” vibes?

Now I understand how your point is valid and the two are totally comparable.

Dude, he was 35 when the Dreamcast came out in North America. Hardly a “fellow kids” situation.

I hope you have the most boring elderly years - filled with procedural crime dramas and dry toast with cottage cheese. And absolutely no thinking about anything remotely fun!

Hey cottage cheese on toast is great, that’s my breakfast most days. With pepper and nutritional yeast usually.
