The House of Commons has 650 seats. A party winning four is a strong showing?

By the amount of seats it wasn’t very good, still more than most polls thought they would get though.

But by vote share, and the amount of constituencies where they came in second place, the threat is much worse.

But couldn’t that be a sign that the Tories have completely fractured, so many of the hard right Tories went over to Reform?

I admit I am viewing this as an outsider, but as I’m a dual citizen, I am trying to keep informed.

Yes definitely, but that’s still a problem, I doubt the Tories would be willing to keep failing electorally just because of Reform.

Some of the far-right Tories like Rees-Mogg have said they think they basically need to copy Reform to win back those voters, possibly even absorbing them into the conservative party, and Farage seems very willing to do that.

They won 5 seats, not 4 but they had considerable share of the votes which is what makes them dangerous.

A new party with FPTP winning 14% of the vote. Yea that’s pretty strong. When was the last time that happened?
