EV or not, people don’t want to buy unsafe vehicles, period. Any brand synonymous with poor quality dies

I mean, the Ford Pinto didn’t kill Ford, but Ford also had decades of company history at that point.

Ford will take a while to die, they’ve always stockpiled a lot of rainy day cash to weather out bad spells. As you’ve said they had plenty of successful decades and successful cars. They even had successful cars at the same time as the pinto so it wasn’t really a problem
