For starters, of course, that would be great (especially considering that most 3rd party reddit apps will soon no longer be able to access reddit with their api). In general, however, I believe that native support should be the long term goal. I would be very happy if I could continue to use redreader :)

They realized that renting generates more profit than selling, especially because you can reduce the lifecycle of products. (Not only physical products, but software as well) They are just priming us for the inevtable switch to a society where renting is the norm.

NSFW subs are probably one of the most affected by the API changes - no 3PA would be able to access them. (At least from what I understand)

It’s currently not possible in jerboa to search for posts, or any other content except for communities. There is a issue created on github - so I guess it will be possible in the future. For now you have to use the search function on the website of your instance. At least on feddit.de it’s working as I would expect it.

I would love to implement those changes and be that light myself - i guess this could (or better: should) be a start to learn coding :D

You will find a “list” button in the bottom menu, right in between the home button and the message/mail button. There you can search for communities. :) I hope that helps out!

I’m not even shocked - as long as we allow data brokers to to collect massive amounts of data about people, this parctice won’t change. But the worst thing about it is that we hardly can escape this data collection as long as we use the world wide web.

In my opinion it is wrong that governments are allowed to buy this data - but in my opinion instead trying to make it illegal for governments to buy this data, we should rather try to put a stop to data brokers so that this data is not collected in the first place.

Ich finde “Mord im Hotel” als kleines Zwischenspiel super - klappt auch mit Kindern sehr gut. Spielregeln sind super einfach: Im Bestfall nehmen 4+ Spieler teil

1. Es wird ein Detektiv bestimmt, dieser verlässt vor Beginn der Runde den Raum.
2. Sobald der Detektiv den Raum verlassen hat, bestimmen die restlichen Spieler einen Mörder.
3. Jeder überlegt sich nun ein Alibi was er zum Tatzeitpunkt gemacht hat - dies darf gern etwas ausführlicher sein, aber eben so, dass man sich seine Geschichte trotzdem sehr gut merken kann.
4. Der Detektiv wird nun zurück geholt und die Teilnehmer erzählen nach und nach ihren Alibis.
5. Direkt danach erzählen die Spieler ihre Alibis ein zweites mal - alle Spieler bis auf de Mörder müssen nun das exakt gleiche Alibi erzählen wie aus Schritt 4. Der Mörder hingegen darf eine Kleinigkeit an seinem Alibi ändern.
6. Der Detektiv hat danach die Möglichleit jedem Spieler eine Frage zu stellen.
7. Der Detektiv präsentiert seine Ergebnisse und bestimmt den Täter.
