Yeah its safer to not make any guesses I suppose. We would have to get that information either from the supposed victim or the abuser though, and there would be questions about how trustworthy that is.
I guess if we had like surveillance and communications that showed behavior like that.
The reason they got upset is because they changed the topic immediately instead of considering the point their friend was making.
People get frustrated with people buried in politics because every single conversation turns into politics. Their friend wanted to talk about nice holiday nonsense, and instead its a conversation about politics.
I think it helps to give people the benefit of the doubt instead of jumping to accusations of hypocrisy. And if it really keeps happening, you know you won’t fit with that group anyways so best to move on.
This way you deal with the actions you don’t like people doing in a way that doesn’t cause a negative mindset.
Although I will admit, its not like its the easiest thing to just find a new friend group in general so it could get tiring for sure.
Its because they have laws they have to follow, and if they break them I can take them to court. My last employer had to send out checks to make up missed wages over 5 years recently. It happens here regularly. Companies make mistakes and people take them to court. Its only the absolutely giant ones that might even have a way around it. I wouldnt even expect any of the big tech companies to keep any of my information private though to be honest.
