It’s perfectly fine to handle. Carbon fiber in FDM 3D printing is largely a lie. It’s not that there isn’t carbon fiber in there, it’s just that it’s chopped up so finely that it’s practically pointless by the time it’s printed. At best, all it does is destroy any printer not set up to handle it. It’s basically like printing sandpaper. Honestly, I’d avoid it entirely; same goes for glow-in-the-dark. Only reputable supplier I know for GITD is Das Filament, which ball-grinds their glow powder before inclusion into the stock.
If you’re interested in real carbon fiber in FDM prints, the only people to really see are Markforged.
Sadly, no. I haven’t bought any in a long time. I think CNCKitchen did a video on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODQoQd-0ky8
Safety for your equipment, not safety for handling. It’s more than just your nozzle that touches this stuff - your heatbreak, PTFE if you’re using a bowden setup, the drive gear, literally anything the filament touches WILL get destroyed unless made out of a suitable material. E3D, back when they first introduced hardened nozzles for printing abrasive filaments, learned this the hard way. They set up a machine with an overhead spool for a show, and just the filament running across the top bar of the machine, managed to put a GIGANTIC notch into the T-slot and near cut the machine in half. It was quite honestly hilarious to witness.
Wife and I really loved the episode. Given the time it’s taken for Rudeus to get there, I really would have liked a little check-in on Sylphie - but the epic ending made up for that little shortcoming.
I haven’t read the novels or anything, so I’m really wanting to know how big the regret is coming down the pipe for Rudeus. I’m guessing it would have to be pretty huge, weighing the fact that if he hadn’t come, Roxy would have died.
getting support for some services that I use
NAME AND SHAME please.
Any time I see someone mention Manjaro here, I see someone mention EndeavourOS; so maybe check that one out too?
Use whatever works for you. Linux can be a pain in the ass sometimes. If your moral fiber isn’t strong enough to override your need for sanity, sometimes you just need to use what has the path of least resistance.
If you’re using it mostly for gaming, Windows is going to be the superior choice. Microsoft has just simply ensured that lock-in. Things are certainly changing, thanks to Valve; but don’t feel afraid to try Linux out without dumping your whole life into it. Get a SBC (Single board computer) and run some Linux services on it - IRC bouncers, mail servers, buy a domain name and practice reverse proxies, virtual machines, etc.
There is room for both…until you’ve decided that Microsoft has stepped over that line you’ve drawn in the sand; then you can convince yourself to dive headlong into Linux full-time.
Regardless, Linux has already won. It runs the internet. It runs near every network device you own. You probably even have Linux running on something you had no idea was running it; Cameras, lower levels of consumer devices, etc. If the only bastion that Windows still has is Gaming…I think we’re doing pretty good.
It’s literally the most logical and ethical rationale that could be achieved. The ethical and logical rationale is that sexual dimorphism exists, and we understand it quite succinctly.
They are separated by sex, because people are separated by sex characteristics.
Since Gender no longer refers to sex, it only refers to perceived place in society, it has no place being used as a metric for sports.
