It’s not really logic, and I don’t think it’s defending anything, it’s just the definition of monetary worth.

For better or for worse, stuff is always as valuable as people consider it to be. Which may be related to how useful that stuff is, but often is not.

Once I extracted my Fire Emblem 7 GBA cartridge’s save to keep stuff I had unlocked and play it elsewhere.

It was easy, I didn’t need any special hardware beside a DS and a flash cart, and a bit of homebrew software.

People that are completely desensitized to that kind of stuff would probably not be very good at moderating it really.

Also this is a terrible job and I’d be very worried if a company was paying and enabling people who find that fun. It’s horrible, but trauma is the normal outcome.

The game is a financial failure… after a week of early access? And it was supposed to stay in early access for at least 6 months?

What did they expect exactly?

It’s been a while since I was told this, so not sure how true it still is, but there a was a niche but lucrative market for people who could maintain stuff in Fortran, COBOL and the like.

Because there were some critical antediluvian pieces of software in banking, big businesses, etc that some companies were terrified of having to replace one day.

I’d expect that by now most would have migrated to more common languages, but I don’t really know.

Fucking YouTube shorts.

Every content creator has to partake in the stupidity because it’s that or becoming an algorithm outcast, so they awkwardly cut bits of their videos just to post a couple of those.

And then YouTube forces them in everyone’s throat, with absolutely no regard for the medium and no option to filter them out.

No, YouTube, I won’t watch your stupidly formatted 10-second bits of nothing on my TV.

Look, she was in it only for the betrayal. it’s no fun if you don’t get to rebel and break random shit.

Sure, it probably didn’t help.

Though I kinda think their main problem is that it must be freaking hard for a Sonic fan to sort out whatever new game will be good, mediocre or unplayable shit. That licence has been all over the place for decades. That can’t help sales in the long term.

I don’t think you can go wrong with any mainline Mario. Some are a bit rough over the edges (looking at you Sunshine), but they’re all fun. Sonic though? What should we expect for the next one, Sonic Superstars or freaking Sonic Forces?

Haven’t tried something so specific, but I think there would be a way to do this in vanilla. It requires a bit of planning though.

Have a first make component bill as “do until you have” 50 components, take to storage 1.

Have a lower priority make component bill, “do forever”, take to storage 2.

In your bill for using extra components, change the radius of materials so they can only be taken from storage 2.
