I mean, they wouldn’t even be wrong if they said it was human. And by extention, one could argue that it was humane, when applying the origional meaning of the word. In my opinion people would be just as incorrect by saying what they were doing was inhumane. My beef here really is with the words humane and inhumane. The way people use these words, is perpetuating a lie about human character. Both words shouldn’t be used at all. Genocide is (in)human(e), slavery is (in)human(e), *ism is (in)human(e), …, pretty much every form of cruelty present on planet Earth is (in)human(e)*.

*) to be read as human, humane, inhumane (excluding inhuman)

I think you’re missing the compost part. Wood will break down in a compost, yet you can build houses from it. Indoor furniture made from wood will happily serve you for decades. Same with this biodegradable plastic: It’ll have a shelf life of decades or even centuries. When shredded and composted it will break down. This material is likely not a good candidate for the wheel housing on your car, but there’s no reason not to use it, for example, for a car’s interior.

Ich weiß nicht wie lemmy.world tickt, aber beide Seiten sind scheiße. Das hat nichts mit Antisemitismus zu tun. Die infantile Denke, dass wenn eine Seite böse ist, die andere gut sein muss, führt einen in diesem Konflikt zu alles Möglichem, aber nicht zur Wahrheit.
